what's in a name? (yea, yea, i know it's cliche)

so i was reading kimberly's blog and she researched her name and i wanted to do mine...i found the following very interesting:

my first name: Andrew
means: man, manly, courageous, warrior
origin: Greek
Personal Significance: the first chosen of the 12 apostles (highly favored in the eyes of God) confident in who he is. courageous to do the things asked of him by God. a warrior and forerunner in the Kingdom.

my middle name: Paul
means: small, little one
origin: Latin
Personal Significance: the writer of most of the new testament. radically changed lifestyle as opposed to earlier "saul." really shows the power of God to change someone's life from one extreme to the other, even in just one encounter. cool contrast with "Andrew" in that Andrew was "first chosen" therefore in a symbolic sense, highly favored in the sight of God, yet Paul was small, and little, therefore realizing his weaknesses and frailties and because of that able to accomplish great things in the kingdom of God.

my last name: Sullivan
means: dark eyes, from suil -> eye, and ban -> fair -- the fair-eyed.
origin: Gaelic, Celtic, Irish
Personal Significance: i have dark eyes.

so yea, just thought that was cool.
